Life of Pie Pizza Joint in Gastonia

Hole-in-the-wall pizza joint. A little dingy, well-worn interior. Has steady lunch crowd. Two-person operation for lunch rush. Staff not super friendly. Very short menu, with limited by-the-slice options. Was surprised by the small amount of options on the display menu, had to ask to make sure that was all they were offering. Pizza was reheated with additional toppings - but tasty. Doesn't seem like they have enough of a customer base to constantly rotate in fresh pizzas.

Came for lunch got two slices of cheese and a side of ranch. The pizza is thin and floppy. Crust is crispy and delicious. The sauce cheese and crust ratio is perfectly on point. The ranch..... wow. It is the epitome of a perfect ranch. Tangy, creamy thin viscosity with herbs to balance it out. It is the perfect companion! If you haven’t tried this place please do!

We loved this place! We got a medium cheese pizza and cheese bread and both were so good! Neatly decorated with an old but cool look inside. Workers were super nice and very attentive. We will definitely be coming back sometime soon.

I am a New Yorker and there is nothing like a slice of New York pizza. Some places may come close, but this is not one. The pizza crust is too hard and too thin, as for the rest of the pizza the dough is too soft and under cooked. This place needs to find a better recipe maybe some real Sicilians would help get it right.
